HOWARD COUNTY, AR (KSLA) -

A south Arkansas man is in jail, accused of breaking into a home and raping an elderly woman.

The Howard County Sheriff's Office arrested Adrian Dewayne Wooten, 39, of Mineral Springs, Arkansas.

Investigators arrested Wooten at the Tyson plant in Nashville, Arkansas.  Wooten tried to avoid officers for several hours at the plant, but workers at the plant helped authorities apprehend him, investigators said.

The alleged incident happened on August 9 in Tollette, Arkansas.  Authorities accuse Wooten of breaking into a home and sexually-assaulting an elderly female.

Wooten is currently being held in the Howard County jail.  He is charged with aggravated residential burglary and rape.  His bond is set at $150,000.
